MLK Service 2019 - Meal and Beverage Distribution | Washington DC
Islamic Relief USA is celebrating the Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service on Monday, January 21st 2019 by teaming up with America's Islamic Heritage Museum from 9:30 am - 1 pm by serving over 500 hot meals including hot beverages to those families in need in Washington DC. We will also be passing out hot chocolate/coffee to those standing along the route of the MLK Day Parade. Volunteers need to arrive at 9:30 sharp to America's Islamic Heritage Museum. *Parking is limited due to the MLK Parade from 10am-2pm. We suggest Anacostia Metro. However, please request a safe parking guide from your coordinator before the day of the event. Address: America's Islamic Heritage Museum 2315 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE Washington, DC 20020 Time: Monday, Janurary 21st 9:30am - 1:00pm We will have IRUSA blue shirts or vests for all volunteers but please dress warm.
