Project Recovery: Hurricane Matthew Deployment Feb 18th - Feb 24th
Islamic Relief USA's Disaster Relief Team has launched a long term recovery program in addition to the emergency response programs. After the initial emergency is over, the long term recovery begins with the rebuilding of homes for the residents who had their homes partially or fully damaged by the flood waters and hurricane weather. (NOT FAMILIAR WITH PROJECT RECOVERY TRIP, WATCH THIS VIDEO) This is your opportunity to spend 7 days with our team and other volunteers to help rebuild the lives of those still waiting for help nearly 1 year later. Construction experience is not required You must be able to report to the location in Tarboro, North Carolina on February 18th (evening) and remain with the team until February 24th. Please sign up for the first opportunity below and this will sign you up for the entire week. Once you express interest it will be sent to the DRT Team for review and you will then be contacted automatically when you are accepted. Address: 104 Health Ct. Tarboro, NC 27886 *Food and Accommodations are included. Our team and volunteers sleep in a dormitory type setup. *Travel is not covered. If you are looking to drive you will use address above. if you are flying then please fly into RDU Airport in Raleigh NC. *Carpools are only available currently from Totowa New Jersey and Alexandria VA. *PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP FOR FIRST DAY (Feb 18th) AND IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY SIGN YOU UP FOR THE WEEK. *THIS IS A 7 DAY TRIP.
