Ramadan Food Box Assembly | Detroit MI | Feb 2026
Islamic Relief USA is looking for Blueshirts to help us with our Ramadan Food Box Assembly Project! The Ramadan Food Box Program feeds families across the country for approximately two weeks and includes staples such as rice, pasta, flour, and over a dozen other items. Through our distribution of food boxes, we are able to reach cities from coast to coast and bring the joy of the upcoming holy month to individuals and families in need here in the USA similar to our food boxes we deliver around the world. We need volunteers to help us pack *1,988* of these boxes to prepare for distribution. 📅 When: Saturday, February 7 Shift 1: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Shift 2: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Sunday, February 8 Shift 1: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Shift 2: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM 📍 Where: Islamic Center of Detroit - IRUSA Warehouse 14350 Tireman Ave Detroit, MI 48228 🛠️ Tasks Include: ♦ Assembling, taping, and labeling boxes ♦ Packing food staples ♦ Carrying boxes (approximately 45 lbs.) ♦ Palletizing and wrapping boxes 📝 What to Expect: Please arrive promptly at your scheduled shift time. Shift times ensure proper safety and sanitation precautions. If you’re feeling unwell or have a fever, please stay home. Additional Information: IRUSA shirts will be provided at the event, please select your shirt size when signing up for this event. They are short sleeves so please plan accordingly.
